Did you say Sandalwood sacré?

Sandalwood Sacré is an aerial and spiritual Eau de Parfum. Milky sandalwood and patchouli transports you to the heart of Indian rituals where incense sticks burn precious woods. This fragrance will lead you to the heart of Yuri Gutsatz, founder of Le Jardin Retrouvé, who worked extensively in India and discovered the fragrant plants of a country rich in scents.

Scientific research conducted over several years, in collaboration with Givaudan, shows that Sandalwood Sacré promotes wellbeing.

Sandalwood Sacré, created in 1981 by Yuri Gutsatz, was then called Eau de Sandalwood.

The story of Sandalwood sacré

1981: Sandalwood Sacré was created in the year that saw Lady Diana Spencer marry Prince Charles, and so the world was filled with celebratory excitement. It was also the year that Sandra Day O'Connor became the first female justice of the US supreme court.

"Sandalwood, an ingredient used in numerous perfumes, with its rich, warm and sensual notes, will certainly bewitch your senses."

Sandalwood sacré coming back to life

At the revival of Le Jardin Retrouvé in 2017, Michel Gutsatz and his wife Clara Feder knew that Sandalwood Sacré had to be part of the line-up. It had been the first Eau de Parfum released by the company, and so it was time for it to be revived for a new generation.

Since 2017, the Eau de Parfum has generated a new fan base among perfume lovers who are looking for a fragrance that contains real certified sandalwood, and it also includes an impressive 97.5% ingredients from natural origin.

"Sandalwood Sacré will appeal to those who appreciate classic and vintage perfume that deviates somewhat from the template and treads new frontier."

CLARA FEDER'S INSPIRED TEXT ON SANDALWOOD SACRÉ: Sacred Wood, Chandod, India

Near Chandod, on the banks of the river Nerboudda, you walk towards a sacred grove that houses a small Hindu temple. You set up your easel, arrange your drawing tools, and start sketching. Suddenly, the powdery notes of a perfume hits you. Sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss and musk, and then, like a gift, coriander, petitgrain and orange blossom. Is it the spirit of the place that is speaking to you?
